Vitalant is hiring a Laboratory Technician I to work in our Blood Components / Manufacturing laboratory. This position is responsible for laboratory functions that may include component production, labeling, maintenance of records and data entry with our volunteer blood donations.

What to Expect

Schedule: Evening Monday-Thursday 5:00PM - 1:30 AM; Friday (start time varies -mostly Noon) Every Other Weekend (start time varies -mostly Noon)-depending on Laboratory need.

• Prepares all blood components including centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration.


• Assures product quality, volume, assay requirements, appearance and time requirements.


• Performs labeling of routine and special components and quarantine of unacceptable components.

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED required.


• Exceptional customer services skills demonstrated to both our internal and external customers
