WHAT WE CAN OFFER TO YOU



This 12-week paid internship at $18.00 an hour. It is full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. The graphic design intern should expect to work from the El Dorado Hills office at least one day per week. Based on this requirement, we are actively prioritizing candidates in the following areas within driving distance of El Dorado Hills, CA.


Responsibilities:


  • Scripting, filming, and editing the video footage the "El Dorado Hills Laboratory Tour Video" and our "Enthalpy Mission Statement" video.


  • Liaising with the Enthalpy Marketing Director, El Dorado Hills Laboratory Director, and Human Resources.


  • Planning: Collaborate with the marketing team to establish the video's purpose, target audience, message, and style.


  • Storyboarding: Create a visual outline of the video, detailing the sequence of shots, scenes, and any necessary animations or graphics.


  • Location scouting: Identify suitable filming locations within the laboratory and plan logistics for shooting.


  • Equipment setup: Gather necessary filming equipment, including cameras, tripods, microphones, and lighting gear.


  • Filming: Capture video footage according to the storyboard and shot list, ensuring proper framing, lighting, and audio quality.


  • Directing: Guide any talent or interviewees during filming to ensure they deliver their lines effectively and convey the desired message.


  • B-roll footage: Record supplementary footage, such as close-up shots, establishing shots, or action sequences, to enhance visual storytelling.


  • Video importing: Transfer the recorded footage from the camera to a computer for editing.


  • Video editing: Piece together the footage to create a cohesive narrative, trimming unnecessary content, and arranging clips in the desired sequence.


  • Audio editing: Enhance audio quality by adjusting levels, removing background noise, and adding music or sound effects as needed.


  • Color correction: Adjust the color and contrast of the footage to ensure consistency and visual appeal.


  • Graphics and text overlay: Incorporate text, graphics, and animations to provide context, highlight key points, and reinforce branding.


  • Transitions: Add transitions between scenes to smooth out cuts and maintain viewer engagement.


  • Review and revisions: Collaborate with stakeholders to review the edited video and make any necessary revisions based on feedback.


  • Exporting and delivery: Prepare the final video file in the appropriate format for distribution across various platforms, such as social media, websites, or presentations.


Qualifications:


  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from a degree program in marketing, communications, or a related field

  • Experience in video production and editing required

  • Familiar with Adobe Premier, Final Cut X, DaVinci Resolve

  • Familiarity with marketing concepts and techniques

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Basic understanding of social media marketing and content creation

  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Familiarity with Asana, HubSpot, and Slack is a plus
