Dairy Field Representative @ Eastern Wisconsin

This position will work remote/virtual in Eastern Wisconsin. Ideal candidate will be located in the Green Bay, WI area.

We are hiring a Dairy Field Representative to cover our procurement area in Eastern Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for building and developing trusted relationships with our dairy members. You will be accountable for working with Land O'Lakes dairy member-owners to be compliant with standards and guidelines, positioning the Land O'Lakes portfolio of products and services, and ensuring compliance with required customers, state, and federal regulatory guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Assist member-owners in maintaining milk quality standards that comply with federal, state and customer regulations.


• Have or be able to obtain the required industry/state sampler license.


• Complete farm inspections, collect water samples, and maintain regulatory records per the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance and Wisconsin's Farm Rules and Regulations.


• Complete membership paperwork as needed per Land O'Lakes business requirements.


• Troubleshoot complex milk quality issues efficiently, using advanced understanding of specific Members' practices and operations.


• Assist member-owners to be compliant with animal care standards and guidelines established by Land O'Lakes and National Dairy FARM Program. Conduct animal care assessments and follow-up on issues as necessary.


• Complete Sustainability Assessments on Land O'Lakes member farms. Share assessment results with members and work with regional sustainability specialist to identify opportunities.


• Establish relationships with outside laboratories to ensure testing and data accuracy.


• Establish relationships with milk transport carriers to ensure proper pickup and sample handling procedures are completed correctly.


• Conduct annual business plans and segmentation audits with all segments of dairy members.

Education and Experience:

• 4-year degree in Dairy/Ag or related field, or equivalent work experience


• Proficient technology skills (computer / iPad)


• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word)


• Must be able to maintain a current sampler license.


• Understanding of on farm dairy operations


• 5+ years of on-farm experience

Salary is negotiable based on experience: $67,360 to $101,040
