Job Description:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for co-managing all operations of Latitude 26 Restaurant and Pool Bar, including but not limited to inventory orders, supervising and scheduling employees, oversight of food quality and presentation consistency, End of Month inventory, and a solid understanding of labor controls. This position directly reports to the Director of Food and Beverage and is expected to communicate weekly at a minimum. In addition, this individual must be organized and have strong leadership skills. This person will lead day-to-day operations, will be a strong leader and demonstrate excellent customer service to our Members and guests. This person will also be responsible for maintaining quality and consistency that aligns with the Safe Harbor brand and standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive hospitality experience, strong culinary and leadership skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethic and ambition. This position entails significant responsibility both in terms of business management and professionalism. It calls for a dynamic, energetic, motivated leader and comes with a competitive compensation package consistent with the high expectations and responsibilities involved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day business aspects of the restaurant and Pool Bar including: budget management, inventory management, and event management.\
Communicate weekly with Director of F&B and property GM - communicate daily operations and any restaurant, ordering, and staffing needs.
Oversight of Pool area ensuring resort-level experience for Members and guests. Deliver exceptional customer service, including serving food and drink to the pool area, fire pit and captain's lounge.
Complete end of day sales close outs and update the Daily Sales Journal.
Support, motivate and inspire excellence in your team.
Act as main point of contact for any member issues that may arise, specifically on weekend shifts.
Continuously set and meet goals to ensure guest and staff satisfaction as well as financial success of establishment.
Create an atmosphere that allows Members and guests to feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed
Ensure the highest levels of quality and consistency in food preparation, presentation and service, while ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to
Communicate, delegate and execute all duties, such as inventory management and control, staff scheduling and daily specials, and placing orders as necessary.
Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS office, POS, excel, word, restaurant inventory system)


Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for the task or work area.
Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.


Technical and Physical Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
TIPS certified preferred
ServeSafe certified preferred
5 years' restaurant experience preferred
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to bend, stoop, lift, rotate, reach
Ability to lift 50 pounds

SCHEDULE
8-12 Hour Shifts which may include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
*Hours may vary if manager must fill in for his/her employees, special events or if emergencies arise (typical work week is 50 hours).
