IND1The Relay Resources Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations for Relay's laundry division, including direct supervision of the team of employees who provide this service. The successful candidate in this role will help deliver excellent service and communication to internal and external customers, assist the Logistics Manager with financial oversight, and oversee the logistics, training, and development of the team. Ability to meet the requirements of Relay's driving policy is required.

CORE FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Laundry Services:


  • Maintain laundry route structure and update regularly based on business needs.

  • Coordinate with Logistics Manager to meet laundry business needs.


Team Management:

  • Provide direct support and training for employees with disabilities to ensure appropriate accommodation.

  • Resolve worksite conflicts when necessary.

  • Manage the team's schedule and routes using service scheduling software.

  • Track all drivers' licensure & clearances, cross train teammates to ensure operational coverage.

  • Complete employee timesheets on time and with accuracy.

  • Document all performance issues in a timely manner and collaborate with Logistics Manager and the People and Culture team to address those issues.

  • Order and track supplies as needed; maintain appropriate supply levels.

  • Conduct monthly team meetings with laundry employees.

  • Oversees vehicle planned maintenance program.


Customer Service and Billing:

  • Manage all phone and email customer correspondence for laundry team, including billing questions, schedule changes and all other requests.

  • Respond to and resolve internal and external customer concerns, complaints, and needs.

  • Coordinate invoicing and accounts receivable with the logistics manager and accounting team.

  • Provide back-up to laundry team when scheduling issues arise.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years managing people in a fast-paced, customer service environment.

  • Minimum of two years driving experience preferred.

  • High school diploma/GED required.

  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with scheduling software a plus.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities at once while maintaining sight of the big picture.

  • Strong communication skills, including speaking, writing, and listening.

  • Experience working with adults with disabilities or barriers to employment a plus.

  • Required to meet the requirements of Relay's driving policy, including a valid driver's license and reliable automobile.
