Cavalier Logistics is seeking a Regional Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will direct and coordinate activities of offices in assigned region and aid CEO in formulating and administering policies and programs. We are looking for a highly motivated, organized individual with a proven management track record.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Participates in formulating and administering the region's programs and developing long-range goals and objectives
Directs and coordinates activities of the region for which they are responsible for further attainment of goals and objectives
Reviews the analyses of sales and operational activities, expenditures/costs vs. forecast data to determine region's progress toward stated goals and objectives
Confers with CEO to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives as a result of current status and conditions
Reviews market analyses to determine client needs, price schedules, and discount rates
Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to ensure that offices in the region meet or exceed their goals
Represents company at trade association and community meetings to promote organization
Negotiates client contracts and work agreements
Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with Account Executives
Meets with key clients, assisting Account Executives in maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
Meets sales goals and controls expenditures of region to conform to budgetary requirements
Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises Branch Managers within the designated branches .
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include overseeing interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems .
Requirements:
Four to six years related experience or equivalent
Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to manage priorities and workflow
Proven leadership and business acumen skills
Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
Ability to direct and recommend cost-effective creative solutions
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone,
electronically, or through other means to individuals and groups
Proficient on Microsoft Office Suite
Education:
Minimum high school or GED
