JOB DESCRIPTION

Chubb is currently seeking a highly motivated and outgoing business professional to join our Commercial Insurance team. The position is a P&C Underwriting Team Lead for our Saint Louis office. Key objectives include managing a team, understanding and managing risks, contributing proportionately to production goals, meeting or exceeding business unit service standards, building or improving trading partner relationships, and demonstrating sound underwriting discipline.

Responsibilities:

• Achieve Middle Market Property and Casualty business plan by managing a team of underwriters with a focus on production, underwriting, and servicing of new and renewal accounts within the Saint Louis territory.
• Evaluate, select, underwrite, price, and quote new and renewal business. This role would directly manage a renewal book have new business production responsibilities.
• Retain accounts through active participation in account stewardship and the Chubb "Enterprise" process.
• Responsible for establishing and cultivating business relationships with brokers and clients within the assigned territory to assure the continued flow of new business opportunities.
• Establish working relationships with the Commercial Insurance Manager, Branch Manager, and Territory Underwriting Manager to contribute to the overall growth of the Commercial Insurance portfolio in the region and execute on coordinated strategies and initiatives
• Working closely with other members of the Chubb team, including Risk Engineering, Claims and Underwriting Associates.
• Forecast monthly production and annual plan and pipeline to manager.

• 4 year College degree in insurance, business or related fields or equivalent experience
• 5+ years commercial or package property and casualty experience
• Management experience is strongly preferred
• Strong local broker contacts preferred
• Superior communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills
