Summary/Objective: 

The Facilities Worker II is responsible for Facility upkeep. Tasks include grounds keeping, general clean-up, and maintenance of the facility.

Essential Job Functions:


  • Support in repair and maintenance, and installation as appropriate, at a general level of equipment, infrastructure, fixtures, furnishings and buildings.

  • Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter change and the like.

  • Assist in the movement of furniture, materials, and equipment as required.

  • Stays current with safety practices in the handling of materials and equipment or seeks supervisory direction for advice or training.

  • Troubleshoot and repair in a timely manner.

  • Preparation and installation of equipment, including the fabrication of simple parts.

  • Interact with Maintenance Team members and production staff to work in as an efficient and productive manner as possible.

  • Understand and participate in, the essential safety requirements of the workplace.

  • Observe stock levels of parts and supplies and notify as necessary.

  • Be attentive and observant in regard to the general condition of all plant and equipment and notify &/or respond as necessary.


  • Perform landscaping and grounds work at the facility.

  • Typical tasks performed include a combination of the following:  Sweeping, vacuuming, light pruning, replacing shrubs and/or flowers as needed.

  • Clean breezeways, walkways, parking lots, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces. May use power washer, floor sweeper.

  • Rake leaves, cut grass, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks as needed.

  • maintains grounds keeping equipment, tools with oil as needed, and stores properly.

  • May do light carpentry where needed.

  • Supports the warehouse as a stager/loader as needed.

  • Supports drop lot operations

  • Responsible for compliance with CBI sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable, and environmentally sound.  This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results.

  • Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member’s safety.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS ESSENTIAL:


  • High School Education, or equivalent.

  • Good mechanical aptitude & all-round technical understanding

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Have a well-developed aptitude with regular hand tools and power tools.

  • Basic knowledge in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical work.  Emphasis is placed on detection of hazards.

  • Ability to perform mechanical & electrical, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Ability to perform straightforward plumbing and carpentry work.

  • Ability to operate forklifts.

  • Ability to lift 75-100 pounds on a frequent basis.

  • Ability to climb ladders, work from heights and in small spaces, and be physically agile to perform required work.

  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English.

  • Ability to work safely, including the proper use of protective equipment and proper handling of hazardous substances.

  • Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company’s value of exhibiting the highest quality standards in all endeavors.

  • Ability to work weekdays, and weekends as scheduled.  Possess a valid California Driver’s License.

ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements:


  • Physical Requirements: drive long distances.  The employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, and bending are required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 - 100 pounds. 

  • Work Environment: Working conditions in certain areas of the facility are cold, wet, slippery, and noisy.  Involves exposure to hazardous conditions. 

  • Travel Required: At times, for parts.

The salary range for this role is:


$21.52 - $32.28

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
