This is an exempt position. The salary range is $75,000-$110,000 (DOE)

The perfect candidate will be able to perform these essential duties:

Under general supervision, with some latitude for un-reviewed action, interface directly with our sales team and our customers to help solve problems using our existing product line and help define new products. This role will develop new business opportunities through new product ideas and bringing on new customers.

This position requires proficient telephone and computer work with excellent customer satisfaction and communication skills, focusing on customer feedback and helping to define new product opportunities. The primary responsibility will be generating new sales opportunities and growing existing sales channels.

The candidate provides application assistance for IoT-related products in the centrifugal pump market and other verticals. Coordinates with a wide variety of channels including, but not limited to sales, accounting, operations, shipping, and engineering. You should be technically adept at handling questions related to mechanical, electrical, software, and other aspects of the product line. Experience with diesel engines, pumps, electric motors, SCADA, and/or telemetry is a plus.

Other aspects of the role include direct interaction with new and existing customer accounts. This will require quick response rates and precise attention to detail. May require taking critical calls or responding to important emails outside of normal business hours if necessary.

The position may also assist with forecasting sales for key customers and coordinating this information with management and respective purchasing teams to prepare and maintain inventory levels.

This position will be 100% remote with quarterly visits back to the factory in Clackamas, OR. The candidate can also expect to travel one to two times per month or as needed to perform the given job duties.

The ability to communicate with a variety of technical levels is key, as many of our customers come from a variety of backgrounds and experience.

Further duties include:

  • Write and input general sales quotes and sales orders.
  • Write and document specific and technical sales quotations, technical sales orders, general sales correspondence, and specific sales correspondence.
  • Interface regularly between our Engineering and Sales staff.
  • Assist and support customers with technical questions related to software, electrical, and mechanical components within and surrounding our system and products.
  • Learn, understand, interpret, and practically apply technical pump information (BOM, Pump Curves, and Dimensions).
  • Work in a cross-functional team consisting of Sales, Engineering, Production, Shipping, and Finance. Provide dealer, end user, and sales staff training in product application and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of product lines, marketplace, requirements, customer trends, and applicable industry standards.
  • Investigate to determine causes of reported field problems with products, including warranty requests for failed products. Support customers through the return process.
  • Visit with customers directly, and attend tradeshows, and educational conferences.
  • Respond to occasional requests for additional off-hour work in the event of an emergency client incident or critical business need.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university

  • 5 or more years industry related experience (Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Customer Service, Wireless/Cellular Markets, Industrial Monitoring, Pumps, Subscriptions)
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with PC and web-based programs
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with ERP systems is a plus
  • Experience and knowledge of electronics and mechanical equipment is a plus
