Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY


Provides leadership for the development, design, implementation and administration of key strategic human resources initiatives and processes to support the company’s overall business model and strategy including talent management, employee experience and legal compliance.  Overall responsible for building and maintaining a successful business partnership model that supports the company’s culture and related Inclusion & Diversity program initiatives. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


HR Business Partnership: 



  • Actively integrates the company’s business strategy with people management practices.

  • Serves as a link between HR and the business by providing advice and support to leaders on strategic issues and helping them implement high-performing, integrated HR solutions.

  • Acts as a coach and consultant to the business areas assigned by helping to build a competitive organization that empowers leaders while strengthening the company’s culture and employee experience.

  • Provides insights and input based on data to the business to help influence decisions.

  • Becomes a well-rounded resource, not only about the business and the function, but all areas of HR affecting the team to all them to help the leadership and employees be successful.

  • Uses business acumen to help business partners understand and deal with business risks and opportunities with them team.


Talent Management: 



  • Develops, implements and oversees the comprehensive Talent Management strategy and processes, including performance management, talent reviews, career development and succession planning.

  • Oversees the quarterly check-in and yearly feedback process.

  • Develops and implements the Talent SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) Action Plan to identify critical skills in the organization, actionable outcomes and key positions for succession planning.

  • Conducts analysis on the effectiveness of the deliverables through the collection of data, survey and employee & leadership feedback.

  • Provides thought leadership and best practice recommendations for talent management processes and technology platforms to support the business strategy.

  • Develops strong measurements and metrics to assess, manage and optimize the talent management team performance and direction. 

  • Partners with peers to formulate recommendations for leadership on development opportunities for their employees and teams. 

  • Create and manage total talent portfolio for each business partnership area.


Employee Experience: 



  • Develops, implements and oversees a comprehensive business partnership model to best support internal clients.

  • Develops and administers various human resources plans, policies and procedures. 

  • Leads HR projects for implementation across all locations.

  • Provides leadership as a strategic business partner for the business.

  • Oversees the planning, organizing and execution of human resources activities. 

  • Maintains employee handbook, policies and procedures. 

  • Supports updates to compensation and benefits programs.

  • Develops and implements employee events.

  • Responsible for monitoring industry trends, employment legislation and ensures compliance. 

  • Provides input for the development and administration of effective training programs and delivery.

  • Keeps pulse on employee morale by maintaining workplace visibility amongst employees and leaders.

  • Supports building company’s culture and related Inclusion and Diversity program initiatives.


Other duties include, but are not limited to: 



  • Builds a high performing team of Human Resource professionals by coaching and developing a creative environment of continuous learning.

  • Develops department goals, objectives, budget and development plans. 

  • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate and/or as required. 

  • Oversees immigration policies and processes.

  • Selects and manages outside resources and associated vendor negotiations and agreements.

  • Recommends and develops new best practices and/or new technologies and methodologies in the workplace.

  • Establishes and maintains effectiveness metrics; assists with revising human resources processes based on metrics and ensures follow-up training is completed when necessary.


REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; Master's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or relevant, equivalent experience and/or education.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Human Resources in a professional capacity with experience in leading employee relations.  

  • Minimum of three (3) years, with a preferred (5) years in a management/supervisory role developing a team.

  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage change initiatives and exhibit creativity and innovation

  • Ability to implement a full range of strategies and concepts quickly, concisely and methodically.

  • Sound business judgment and the ability to think quickly.

  • Ability to understand a variety of systems, processes and procedures.

  • Ability to manage and execute effectively and independently.
