We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Commercial Team


Responsibilities


  • Take responsibility for finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction and for managing all aspects of multiple small to large complex projects.

  • Apply sound knowledge of architectural principles and practices in a broad array of assignments and related fields.

  • Lead a collaborative and inclusive design process.

  • Assist with budget management.

  • Prepare design presentation materials.

  • Partner with client and/or user group to develop design.

  • Conduct code research and analysis and review with various agencies for approval.

  • Collaborate with engineers, consultants, contractors and/or clients.

  • Supervise and provide guidance regarding overall objectives, critical issues and new concepts.

  • Ensure that the project meets environmental, safety, structural, zoning, and aesthetic standards.

  • Build, manage and nurture client relationships.

  • Review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs.

  • Prepare strategic plans for project success.

  • Lead all project management efforts both administrative and technical.

  • Serve as primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client's satisfaction.

  • Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs, project communications and documentation, office administrative tasks, and project team assignments.

  • Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals.

  • Lead all project management activities including project profitability, resource team managements, client focused communications, consultant contract review and management, quality control related to documents and project scheduling.

  • Supervise and/or perform site observations, such as recording and reporting of existing conditions and construction progress.

  • Write reports such as feasibility studies, condition reports, and recommendations.

  • Supervise and perform building code reviews and prepare applications.

  • Responsible for major design decisions, involving spatial, aesthetic elements, and detailing of materials.

  • Document the progression of a routine project through correspondence, memos, etc. Follow routine projects through approvals and construction. Initiate contact with client and town officials.

  • Exercise professional judgment in areas of contractual liability.

  • Make public presentations.

  • Be a thought leader.


Requirements




  • Professional degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program

  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Architect/Project Manager or Design Architect, specifically focused on Commercial/Civic

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Revit

  • Firm grasp of building technology fundamentals

  • Thorough knowledge of relevant codes, operations, processes, and trends

  • Excellent time management, organizational and written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to effectively communicate and actively engage with clients


Preferred Qualification:



  • Master's Degree of Architecture

  • Registered as a licensed architect

  • Experience with Newforma Project Center and/or Newforma Project Analyzer, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Revit and PDF Revu

  • Additional relevant certifications indicating additional expertise such as for construction administration, interior design, LEED/Green Globes/sustainability, etc.

  • Experience writing and editing specifications
