McMillan Pazdan Smith is seeking to hire a dynamic Senior Project Accountant to join our Greenville, SC office location. The Senior Project Accountant collaborates closely with the other members of the Project Accounting Team and the Firm's Project Manages. This includes managing the monthly project accounting cycle including revenue recognition and associated project costs, working closely with Practice Area/Market Segment Leaders on forecasting, billing projections, and projects profitability. This position will be required to perform a wide variety of project financial analysis work and provides opportunities for outstanding experience and exposure in different Practice Areas.

Responsibilities
Manage monthly billing process for multiple Studios/Practice Areas.
Produce monthly invoicing to clients.
Align project budgetary information with contract terms.
Manage consultant costs, including monthly accruals.
Maintain project related data in the accounting system.
Perform monthly consultant cost reconciliations.
Provide monthly reporting to project managers. (ex. profitability reporting, aging of accounts receivable, and unbilled labor).
Prepare schedules for clients as needed.
Prepare analysis as needed for Project Managers.
Manage accounts receivables/collections for projects, including following up with clients as needed and working with Project Managers on receivables as needed.
Work in partnership with Practice Area leaders on forecasting, future billings, and profitability.
Bring inconsistencies, problems, and recommendations to the Director of Finance's attention.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Finance and the Financial Planning Analysist in a variety of special projects. (ex. audit related, tax credit related, various miscellaneous firm related reporting)
Actively engage with the rest of the project accounting team regarding process improvements, team assignments, and communications
Perform other duties as directed.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in accounting, finance, or related field
Five to Ten Years in a project accounting role, preferably in the AE industry
High level of communication skills, including providing customer service to clients, as well as communicating priorities and solutions to internal staff
High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Working knowledge accounting systems
Superior numeric skills
Excellent time management skills
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills
Ability to manage information with a high level of detail and accuracy
Self-motivated and ability to work independently, as well as a part of a team
Proven ability to make and communicate decisions
