POSITION SUMMARY:


As a Resident Assistant you will be responsible for supporting program service delivery and for the safety and security of Northside Common Ministries residents. 


Duties include but are not limited to:



  • Perform initial intake duties including the orientation of new residents to the program and/or by facilitation workshops.

  • Assist with residents' social and life skills development individually or groups including, but not limited to, laundry, personal hygiene, food shopping, meal preparation, and other such activities as assigned and as needed to fulfill program goals and resident outcomes.

  • Ensure cleanliness and general maintenance of facility, reporting any issues to the designated staff.


Travel Required: No travel required.


External Hiring Range:  $15.75 up to $16.70/hour


Schedule:  This position works overnight - 12am to 8am and weekends


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

  • 1 year  experience with diverse populations; knowledge of homeless shelter operation and/or social services preferred. 


  • Must have some experience with facilitation of workshops and service referrals. 





REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:



  • Candidates are expected to provide current valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to first day of employment.  

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications required within the first 90 days of employment.
