Here’s What You’ll Get To Do



  • Implement and manage OBE Operational Excellence system to support and drive site team to achieve zero harm, improve quality, reduce waste, and maximize process and equipment performance.

  • Develop site OpEx strategy, initiatives, activities, coaching and training material.

  • Identify areas of process improvement opportunities and work with Front Line Leaders to execute specific OpEx production projects.

  • Oversee and Develop our Quality initiatives and metrics by working with operations to drive best practices that keep us on the forefront for quality in the industry.

  • Validate results to assure compliance with industry standards and/or specific project requirements.

  • Work with leadership team to drive cultural improvements that drive employee retention and engagement initiatives.

  • Document Control Management to maintain standards across our site.

  • Lead site planning process to maximize floor space, minimize lead time, and optimize flow.

  • Drive operational excellence principles such as constraint management, one-piece flow production, Kanban systems, 6S, RCFA and setup reduction.

  • Initiate, communicate, and manage investigations into process and quality issues to identify root causes, develop corrective actions, and implement solutions.

  • Collaborate with other OBE locations and external sources to share and establish best practices.

  • Monitor, and report implementation plans and progress in pursuit of projects and KPI’s.



  • Assesses process capabilities, identifies improvement opportunities, and integrates new processes and equipment to maximize manufacturing throughput.

  • Handle projects as required-including project plan development, project management, and accountability for results.

  • Understanding of drafting and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency.

  • Participate with problem solving teams that directly drives company’s Continuous Improvement Processes and Policies.

  • Leads and participates in Safety, Reliability and Quality investigations to identify and implement actions to drive continuous improvement.

  • Provides support for both cost and capital projects to improve the safety, quality, environment, and/or cost of the production unit. This includes scoping out, justifying, and coordinating installation of new equipment or expansion of facility.

  • Provide shift/weekend coverage for start-ups, tests, maintenance turnarounds or other non-routine needs.

  • Analyzes operational data such as workforce utilization, facility layout, and workflow to design layout of equipment and workspace following lean manufacturing principles for maximum effectiveness or workers and equipment. Ensures manufacturing systems are operational and functioning effectively.

  • Plan, prioritize and budget manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement projects for the plant.

  • Participate in objective setting, plan development and performance reviews of plant performance to meet or exceed annual business improvement targets.

  • Supervise and lead responsible staff in vendor evaluation, vendor accountability, capability, and on-time delivery; and in commissioning equipment determining its safety, capacity, and capability prior to production acceptance.

  • Develop and prepare work instructions, control plans, Process Failure Mode Effect Analyses (PFMEAs) and process validation plans.

  • Manages capital equipment requests.

  • Assist in developing statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.


 


Here’s What We’re Looking For



  • Practical experience leading kaizen events (teaching, coaching and implementing operational excellence tools)

  • High degree of technical aptitude with a demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes and logistics flows

  • Previous experience developing and implementing quality systems, including but not limited to tools such as PFMEA, control plans, standardized work and layered audits is required.

  • Ability to influence and create buy-in from teams through collaboration and development.

  • Strong understanding of Lean Tools including, but not limited to; 6S, Kanban, Ishikawa, A3, 5-Why, MTTR, MTBF, Poka-yoke, JIT, Value-stream mapping.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
    Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated ability to teach, coach and persuade.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, in addition to interpersonal, teamwork skills

  • Strong written, oral and presentation skills with the ability to speak and communicate effectively at all levels within the OBE Organization

  • Previous experience managing large projects and teams within budgetary and time constraints as well as minimum supervision.

  • Strong personal computer skills, to include but not limited to: Microsoft Office software applications, and AutoCAD.

  • Regular and predictable attendance, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures

  • Working onsite will be required.

  • Occasional travel to domestic and international sites

  • Physical Demands:

    • Work performed inside a non-climate controlled production environment.

    • Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor.

    • Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high.

    • The plant facility is subject to the same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)


    Working Environment:



    • Exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, heat/humidity and loud noise in an industrial environment.
