Strong marketing capabilities are critical for Mars Pet Nutrition to effectively bring its strategy to life and fulfill our purpose to Make the World a Better Place for Pets. This role will oversee the managers owning several of those capabilities - helping them improve their thinking, manage their stakeholders, and achieve their objectives.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree is required. MS/MBA is preferred.
Fluent English
Experience managing a wide range of stakeholders (including very senior) and collaborating to drive to the right answer without always having direct authority
Experience with generating deep and impactful consumer insights
Experience in a global environment and with emerging markets preferred
Strong process management skills
Strong change management skills
Working effectively in a part-time virtual environment
What will be your key responsibilities?
Superior Proposition:
This capability manages how we benchmark and generate insights around our propositions vs. the competition and pet parent needs, and how we translate those insights into action plans
The director will help guide and enable the superior proposition manager as he/she continuously improves the superior proposition program design, works with markets to execute it and synthesize insights, and report out to and make major decisions with senior stakeholders
SKU Portfolio Management:
This capability ensures we are consistently refreshing our SKU portfolio - ensuring it stays as relevant as possible as consumer needs and desires evolve.
The director will help guide and enable the SKU Portfolio management manager as he/she develops knowledge on SKU portfolio management best practices, develops and maintains a robust fact base on our SKU portfolio globally, continuously improves our global best-practice approach to SKU portfolio management (including technology enablers, as necessary) and works with markets to execute the capability and act on insights
Calorie Conversion:
At Mars, we understand from years of data and experience that when more pets get more of their calories from pet nutrition products that are carefully formulated to their nutritional needs, that those pets live longer and healthier lives. However, in many parts of the world, "calorie conversion" (that is, the % of pet calories that come from pet nutrition products that meet well established and scientifically proven nutrition standards) is still relatively low. We have an opportunity and an obligation to help continually drive higher calorie conversion as we execute our purpose: A Better World for Pets. This capability is at the center of achieving that objective
The director will help guide and enable the calorie conversion manager as he/she generates market and consumer insights around calorie conversion, develops our strategy and priorities to accelerate calorie conversion, garners the buy-in and support of senior leaders, and works with markets to execute

Total rewards at Mars includes base pay, competitive benefits, and annual bonus (if position is eligible). The full-time pay range for this role is: USD 186,559.00 - USD 279,839.00
