It is how we measure how our propositions compare to relevant competition, as well as measure how well we are delivering against pet and parent needs and delighting pet and pet parents. This role is responsible for owning and managing that capability.

The Sr. Manager will:


  • Have strategic agility, ability to structure problems, generate distinctive Insights, find creative solutions, prioritize opportunities, and build effective action plans

  • Have brand building experience with using both data and Intuition to form winning brand strategies

  • Drive inspiration, vision and purpose, communicate effectively, and influence

  • Be results orientated and have the ability to be practical and drive towards action and tangible results, not just the strategic ideas

What are we looking for?


  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred

  • Fluent in English

  • Experience managing a wide range of stakeholders (including very senior) and collaborating to drive to the right answer without always having direct authority

  • Experience with generating deep and impactful consumer insights and fluent in key market and consumer insights techniques and experience interpreting consumer data

  • Experience in a global environment and with emerging markets preferred

  • Strong process management skills

  • Strong change management skills

  • Must be able to be onsite for a hybrid model, 50% of the time and travel 25-35%

What will be your key responsibilities?

Design:


  • Refine our approach to testing our propositions on both a technical and consumer perception level, ensuring that everything we test ties to consumer needs and desires, we are exhaustive in covering the most key areas, and our approach is manageable to interpret, communicate, and build off of

  • Define process, tools, and RAPID to interpret results, build action plans, and ensure progress against those plans; confirm market capacity and capability to handle and make recommendations on how to address any issues

  • Partner with global innovation team on how to best continually incorporate our superior proposition capability into the innovation process

Deployment:


  • Make trade-off decisions between level of rigor and depth of the process with cost and time associated, striking the most efficient balance

  • Train key stakeholders in the markets on the capability, why certain decisions were made, and how to use it

  • Finalize easy to digest and interpret reporting, and explore opportunities to automate

Execution:


  • Facilitate the testing and insight generation process globally

  • Serve as the main point of contact for markets as they bring the capability to life in their market, helping them creatively work through any issues and challenges

  • Work with markets to provide exemplary examples of how to translate the data and insights into specific action plans with value associated

  • Report out to senior stakeholders (e.g., Petcare and Pet Nutrition global leadership teams) on progress, findings, and proposed next steps

Continuous improvement:


  • Continuously improve the capability based on market experience.

  • Evaluate impact of the model, barriers to impact, and opportunities to continually advance; report on those findings

  • Ensure the capability is sufficiently formalized so that it continues at the same level of quality even as associates who are closest to it inevitably turnover over time

Total rewards at Mars includes base pay, competitive benefits, and annual bonus (if position is eligible). The full-time pay range for this role is:
USD 133,063.00 - USD 199,594.00
