Shermco US is hiring a Sales Operations Specialist

Sales Operations Specialist

Join our team of leaders in electrical power system maintenance, repair, testing & training. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experience Sales Professional based in Baton Rouge, LA. Shermco is ISO certified, a member of EASA, AWEA, PEARL and is accredited by NETA, PEV, SKF & ANAB. Shermco Industries is a founding member of NETA and has one of the largest field services divisions in the industry.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
  • Support sales initiatives set forth by sales leaders.
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new account, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
  • Develop new accounts by answering telephone and e-mail inquiries and verifying and entering information.
  • Work with outside sales team to support job walks, customer meetings, RFP submittals to generate new revenue.
  • Maintain communication with new and growth accounts to develop into stable anchor accounts.
  • Update job knowledge by studying service offerings and participating in educational opportunities.
  • Accomplish department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
  • Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of successful inside B2B sales experience, preferably in an engineering, industrial or heavy commercial industry.
  • Be able to read and understand one-line diagrams
  • Knowledge of using Salesforce
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and highly motivated;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, written and oral presentation skills and solid understanding of profitability and other financial measurements;
  • Strong sales skills including and effective negotiation skills, ability to successfully interact with key customer decision makers and influencers, and ability to prospect new customers and forecast future business;
  • Advanced computer skills with the following software: Excel, Word, Adobe, Microsoft Outlook;
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
