Job Description:

As Global Data Governance Analytics Manager , you are responsible for Master Data integrity and adherence to governance standards. This role requires closely working with end-users, business units, and other resources in all stages of daily MDM operations with a strong focus on Analytics and business process improvement. This is a hands-on position requiring strong MDM analytical skills, experience, and business expertise, highlighting the expertise of global MDM in all business interactions. You will develop and communicate a strategic corporate-wide vision through use of global master data, championing to the One PPG way. You will guide predictable and scalable analytics solutions through all Business units globally using the various platforms containing the global data. This includes insuring data movement, data quality, workflows, and data governance controls evaluations. You will report to the GDG Sr Manager.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop business rules in coordination and teamwork with all business units and design and implement the associated KPI to ensure the correct standards of data accuracy.

  • Act as an important contact for problem resolution and initiate data corrective actions based on performing/reporting data audit analysis.

  • Assist the Global Data Governance Managers and Data Management Operations Managers globally by sharing knowledge and guidance regarding global Master Data Management processes.

  • Configure and maintain standard and custom tables in Master Data Management tool and ERP systems.

  • Work closely with the businesses and IT to ensure alignment of Master Data rules and the operations of the application.

  • Identify and lead process and analytic improvements throughout all business units. Lead data projects as determined through the global MDM Strategy

  • Influences the business units to change analytics to utilize new global data toolset and datasets to support One PPG.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Data Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Master's degree a plus.

  • 8 years of professional experience required. 3+ years as a Business Analyst working as a data professional with experience in Data Governance and Data Management leading practices, process design and implementation preferred.

  • Strong understanding of how Data Governance affects an organization. Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement is desirable, involving broad based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change.

  • Demonstrated business and IT skills including change management/strategy, business process design, culture change, and performance measurement system design.

  • Experienced in project leadership, and execution of multiple enterprise-wide projects with a demonstrated track record in new concept development for various projects and complex technical plans.

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills; experience with; Power BI, SQL, ETL/ELT, data analytics tools, and other tools
