Job Description:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Designs, develops oversees and facilitates career development and life skills workshops/curricula including self-assessment, goal setting, workplace conduct and appearance, resume writing, job search strategies, networking, interviewing and other related subjects.

2. Researches and modifies curriculum and materials as required to meet individual and program needs.

3. Maintains knowledge of contract statement of work and performance goals for curriculum development and modification.

4. Provides guidance to staff for accurate interpretation of assessment documents.

4. Recommends curriculum design improvement and enhancements to management.

5. Administers job readiness assessment instruments.

6. Communicates with staff to ensure consistent and accurate reporting of customer activities.

7. Generates reports to ensure customers are directed to appropriate training and employment opportunities.

8. Utilizes a variety of teaching resources to develop customers knowledge of subject area.

9. Monitors and evaluates progress of customers and prescribes corrective plans whenever necessary.

10. Prepares and maintains current and accurate accounting of customers participation.

11. Maintains a warm atmosphere where customers feel cared for and welcome.

12. Maintains a functional knowledge of economic and job market trends and demands and incorporates knowledge into job readiness training modules.

13. Assists with intake and orientation activities, as required.

14. Performs other related duties as assigned.
