Inventory Coordinator at Clarios, LLC

Job Description:

Cycle Counting is one of the most critical functions in maintaining positive performance for a plant. As the main point of contact for material handlers and carriers delivering product, the Cycle Counter will act as a liaison for supervisors and managers. The Cycle Counter ensures that inventory is accurate and available to all departments and is a critical component in ensuring the flow of production. When there are discrepancies in inventory the Cycle Counter will work with the departments to educate and push accountability to correct issues and prevent them in the future. The Cycle Counter’s primary focus will be to cycle count battery inventory on a continuous basis at both the main warehouse and offsite warehouse as well as other duties as assigned.

The Cycle Counter is expected to:


  • Cycle count and document in BES/QAD 100% of the plant’s battery inventory on a quarterly basis.


  • Effectively communicate with plant operators, material handlers, supervisors, and managers on various channels.


  • Build expert and dynamic product knowledge and/or the ability to quickly acquire product information to answer leadership questions.


  • Document and resolve or escalate inventory issues effectively and efficiently.


  • Process intercompany transfer shipments (IBT’s).


  • Manage returnable containers.


  • Coordinate intercompany battery shipments.


  • Become a power user in the BES/QAD production systems.


  • Build rapport with teammates by engaging with them in an inviting, friendly, and professional manner, to deliver exceptional experiences nurture lasting relationships.


  • Ensure OCV meets quality specifications on incoming product, and separating product that can be utilized on additional orders.


  • Performs audits for virtual locations.


Required Experience:


  • 1-3 years’ experience in inventory control and BES systems


  • Strong communication skills, including active listening and clear articulation.


  • Basic math and computer skills.


  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.


  • Ability to solve problems and alleviate conflicts or escalate tactfully.


  • Ability to multitask, manage time, and prioritize.


  • Able to work individually and as a team.


  • High School diploma or equivalent.
