Education/Experience Requirements – Verification & Validation Lab Technician, Medical Device
Associate degree or 2-year technical degree preferred
Minimum 3-5 five years related experience
Electro-mechanical product test experience strongly preferred
Medical product or regulated environment experience strongly preferred
Ability to self-manage projects, i.e. tasks, resources, interfaces with external stakeholders.
Strong computer and internet skills; software experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
Experience working in an environment with global objectives
Essential Job Responsibilities for the Verification & Validation Lab Technician, Medical Device
Provide product verification test support for mechanical and electromechanical products (primarily medical devices)
Execute a variety of product performance tests such as temperature, life-cycle, humidity, thermal shock, chemical, water ingress, drop, etc.
Perform incoming-inspections of parts to demonstrate specifications are met (dimensional analysis, tensile testing, pressure testing, torque testing, etc.)
Setup, execute, and teardown of tests in accordance with approved test protocols. Monitor tests daily to assure accuracy in test environment.
Provide feedback and support for fixture design and development of new fixtures
Troubleshoot lab equipment and repair if necessary. Maintain Verification lab organization, cleanliness, calibrations, and traceability.
