Process Engineer at Formica

Job Description:

Responsibilities include analyzing manufacturing equipment and processes for ways to improve performance. We’ll also rely on you to lead Equipment / System modifications, Process & Continuous improvement teams via DMAIC projects, and Quality Assurance/Improvement projects. Responsible for taking completed R&D projects and implementing in Manufacturing.

We’re Looking for A Self-Starter Who Meets the Following Requirements:


  • 5+ years experience in process improvement/operational excellence project roles within the manufacturing sector. Experience in paper, film, or web-handling processes a plus.

  • Candidates must have a degree in a technical field, preferably engineering.

  • Demonstrated training and proficiency in statistical problem-solving methodology and statistical process control is required. Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

  • Proven experience of the successful implementation of continuous improvement manufacturing programs using advanced techniques is also a must.

  • Data analysis and database ownership experience a plus.

  • Must also have a working knowledge of PC based applications, optimization, technical support and training of shop floor employees.

  • A high degree of self-motivation, effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently or in team settings is essential, with a flexible and hands on mentality.

  • Ability to travel 5 to 10% of the time, including internationally as required.
