POSITION SUMMARY:
The Certified HVAC Technician performs general guest room and commercial area maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment. Maintains and repairs physical structures of buildings and maintains grounds by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions:

1. Locates and corrects heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) malfunctions, and adjusts HVAC units to include systems control checks in guest rooms, commercial kitchen, and laundry equipment
2. Contact and schedule vendors and contractors for necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.
3. Maintains a schedule of when maintenance has been performed and when the next service is due.
4. Works safely and recognizes unsafe situations. Takes appropriate action to ensure the safety of themselves and others in the building.
5. Makes systematic checks on all guest room electrical appliances, and circuits; can repair most in-room defects when necessary.
6. Assists with all in-house repairs in regards to removing and replacing bathroom tile, painting, repairing wallboard, wall vinyl, carpentry, etc. as needed.
7. May be asked to perform routine maintenance on building interior and exterior.
