We are seeking Interns to join our team at our plant located in Pueblo, Colorado for the Summer of 2024.  These individuals will learn how to operate in a mill setting and interact with plant personnel, as well as external suppliers and contractors.  Interns could be placed in our Operational and/or our Planning departments.

• Must passionately follow health and safety practices


• Monitor and analyze production data to identify potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and propose solutions for improvement


• Support inventory management efforts by monitoring stock levels, identifying discrepancies, and assisting in inventory reconciliation


• Learn and utilize production planning software and tools effectively to streamline planning processes and improve efficiency


• Maintain, analyze, and draft reports related to data and performance


• Interact with all levels of personnel and communicate professionally in written and verbal form


•  Maintain good attendance and perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Business


• Strong written and oral communication skills


• Computer literate in Microsoft Suite (Excel) and PowerBI


• Experience in manufacturing, preferred


• Ability to organize and motivate teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivity, preferred


• Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment, which will include inside and outside environmental conditions


• Preferred junior or senior level student

Term

• May-August 2024, following conclusion of Spring Semester

Compensation

• $21 - $25 per hour, based on academic experience
