In this exciting role you will be part of a strong team in Global IT to provide technical expertise for business solutions supporting multiple groups.

There are four primary areas of responsibilities:

Technical Architecture Leadership


  • Develop architecture best practices, technology standards, design patterns and engage the architecture community for adoption.

  • Develop proof-of-concepts to evaluate platform or technical capabilities.

  • Proactively identify architecture soft spots and single points of failure in the end-to-end system flows and develop architecture solutions.

  • Develop and maintain technical platform architecture for the current and future states.

  • Provide architecture governance as part of the Architecture Review Board

Architecture Strategy and Roadmap


  • Develop enterprise architecture strategy for one or more areas in business systems and applications, enterprise data and analytics, IT infrastructure, network, and security systems.

  • Research market offerings and products on IT services and systems, analyze product maturities and capabilities, review use cases, and develop and present points of view to IT leadership.

  • Develop and own the multi-year architecture roadmaps and collaborate with business and IT teams to ensure alignment of the initiatives with the roadmap.

Architecture Delivery


  • Lead and develop end-to-end technical network and security architecture for projects that span across multiple business groups for secure, high-performing, fault-tolerant and operationally resilient global network and systems.

  • Partner with solution architects, network engineers, security engineers, infrastructure engineers and other team members for the successful delivery of projects, network/security upgrades, and troubleshoot problems.

  • Drive the project execution by ensuring business objectives are accomplished in compliance with the technology and architecture standards and roadmaps.

  • Collaborate with other enterprise architects to develop and maintain end-to-end systems architecture.

  • Communicate effectively with IT and business leaders to influence decisions and address concerns.

How you'll make your mark:


  • 10 years' experience in large enterprise network environments with 3+ years in a network architecture lead role

  • 10 years' experience managing networking technologies in both LAN and WAN environments.

  • 7 years' experience in cybersecurity, including compliance and risk management.

  • 7 years' experience in cloud computing and connectivity technologies, including software, infrastructure, and platform-as-a-service, as well as public, private and hybrid environments.

  • Extensive knowledge of security controls and technologies, such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, Identity and Access Management (IAM), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), public key.

  • Strong networking, architectural and technical experience with global data centers.

  • Experience working in ITIL Framework.


  • Experience managing Datacenter technologies such as Aruba, Arista, Juniper, 3com switches and routers, Palo Alto, Fortinet and Checkpoint firewalls, WAN optimization tools, load balancers, and other network devices.

  • Experience with SDN, SD-WAN products and services, Working knowledge of structured cabling systems and network facilities.


  • IPv4 and IPv6 experience is must and Strong understanding of network infrastructure, IP addressing, IP traffic management, DNS/DHCP, NTP, Security and Network Monitoring tools

  • Designing, configuring, and supporting the DNS, DHCP, IPAM & NTP needs of enterprise customers.

  • Experience managing complex routing environments.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills - an expert technical architect should be able to anticipate where problems might occur and find solutions before the change is deployed.

  • BS/MS degree in computer science, engineering, information science or related field with network certifications (preferred).

  • Excellent organization skills, able to communicate well and build strong partnerships with vendors, technical teams, and business across geographically dispersed regions.

  • Experience managing security technologies such as next-gen firewalls, DLP, IDS/IPS and UTM devices.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience leading engineers in an onsite/offshore delivery model and delivering in complex environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Network Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.

  • 12 years of progressive experience in network architecture, design, engineering and implementation in global IT networks and network security

Responsibilities:


  • Architect custom solutions of program and enterprise or operational scope.

  • Architect reusable solutions of program and enterprise or operational scope.

  • Customize reusable solutions of program and enterprise or operational scope.

  • Capture and share architectural IP at the solution level.

  • Define and implement architectural governance at the program and enterprise or operational scope.

  • Contribute to the Architect profession both internally and externally.

  • Lead architecture team in architecture activities for complex, medium to large opportunity.

  • Develop for client technically or operationally feasible long-term IT strategies and plans .

  • Assess business impact of multiple technologies/strategies .

  • Identify and address technical or operational risks .

  • Provide review/input on project activities for large enterprise or global level projects .

  • Collaborates with the project manager to develop detailed project plans and work breakdown structures for large enterprise or global level projects.

  • Develop and deliver sales presentations at CEO/COO/CIO levels for large, complex opportunities .

Education and Experience Required:

Industry experience - minimum 10 to 15 years Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

Architecting:


  • Ability to understand the customer's business problem, need, or opportunity and to design an IS solution that completely and correctly addresses the business problem, need, or opportunity without unnecessary enhancements.

  • Ability to lead the architectural design, development, deployment, and technical quality of large enterprise or global solutions that span multiple technologies and disciplines.

  • Be able to provide architectural direction for multiple medium to large sized projects concurrently in various stages of their lifecycle or a large project full time.

  • Ability to maintain the integrity of the proposed architecture to assure professional quality and logical consistency in the face of political and business pressures.

  • Conversant with and able to apply multiple architectural, development and operational methodologies (e.g., Zachman, TOGAF, ITSM, ...) .

  • Understands and applies one or more industry acknowledged architectural modeling methods and tools.

  • Usually possesses a valid industry certification in an appropriate architectural discipline .

  • Can validate/evaluate if an information systems or operational architecture meets business needs .

  • Be able to evaluate the effect of external factors on designed solution .

Business Acumen:


  • Relates risks and challenges the customer should expect to encounter with the solution with other client efforts or projects (use of internal knowledge of organization; trusted advisor relationship).

  • Develops Architecture Specification deliverables that map customer business requirements into complete information systems (technologies, processes and people) or operational solutions.

  • Ability to consistently apply business management and financial concepts, capital investment, financial modeling, and general aspects of business contracts. Use this knowledge to analyze business needs and develop meaningful business recommendations.

  • Ability to apply knowledge of how the industry uses IT to address business challenges using, for example, technical standards and infrastructure, cross-industry trends that impact IT investment, industry-specific roadmaps, and IT enablers.

  • Ability to perform business process analysis/synthesis using modeling or simulation tools and techniques, such as workflows and diagrams to show interrelationships of multiple processes, tracking instances/characteristics of process elements.
