Position Summary

Responsible for project initiation, execution, and distribution of marketing product content inclusive of vehicle imagery/photography, video, CGI assets, and interactive tools. Content produced in this area is product-centric and speaks to vehicle features and benefits, core technology, and safety, along with vehicle specifications for our full lineup of Subaru models.

This consumer-facing content lives across various Subaru platforms including but not limited to Subaru.com, retailer sites, brochures, YouTube and other social entities, and screens like Subaru TV, digital kiosk, retailer TV content, and auto show content. This role is a project lead, overseeing the projects from initiation to execution, managing creative execution with multiple advertising partners responsible for design, creation, and production of all materials. Additionally, this role is a connector within Subaru Marketing and leads cross-functional collaboration with multiple internal stakeholder groups.

Major Responsibilities


  • Oversees standard content creation for all existing and future Subaru carlines with multiple advertising vendors and oversees review process with internal and external stakeholders.

    • Maintains responsibility for the review and compliance of Marketing product content with Legal, Product Management, agency partners, and others as needed.

  • Satisfies growing demand for Subaru-owned digital platforms by ensuring that digital content is created and produced on strategy, on time, and within budget. Shapes and fulfills digital content strategy and guidelines with existing and new content.
  • Works with Subaru.com teams to support:

    • Model loads (pre- and post-dev reviews) for all carlines,
    • Comparison pages,
    • SEO pages,
    • And any other Subaru.com needs that include Marketing product content.

  • Develops SEO vendor relationship on the advertising side. Shares SEO data with advertising agencies when appropriate. Aligns with creative and planning teams to ensure that creative concepts ladder into Subaru marketing strategy and SEO research.
  • Serves as point of contact for multiple advertising partners on vehicle and technology video and imagery productions, i.e.: auto show support, snow production, and safety and in-car technology productions.
  • Travels for vehicle productions. Serves as on-site point of contact for Subaru of America (SOA) product accuracy/execution. For non-embargo productions, is the lead on-site. Makes sure that vehicle is represented under brand guidelines.
  • Collaborates with marketing strategy and product launch team as well as agency partner on a regular basis to ensure brand and positioning alignment on all deliverables. Provides clear and concise creative direction to agency partner and communicates effectively with internal partners.
  • Maintains the Subaru Content Portal Hub (asset management tool) by ensuring that content is accurate and functional. Acts as a key point of contact for internal teams and agency partners and maintains access.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Works alongside the Strategic Marketing Content Manager to maintain responsibility for execution of embargo (highly confidential) vehicle productions, ensuring security and confidentiality of future vehicles and vehicle technologies.

Required Skills and Personal Qualifications

  • Proven excellent written and verbal communications skills that demonstrate clear, concise, and succinct thinking.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline-oriented, team-based environment with a strong attention to detail.
  • Advertising production (photography and video production) acumen.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
  • Proven high performance in project and time management skills that move projects along to completion.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Digital platform general understanding and experience with site designs, UI, UX, etc.
  • Creative and print production background.
  • Photography, content, copy, layout, and user experience acumen.
  • Ability and desire to learn about new vehicles, features, and technologies that are then translated into consumer education/marketing content.
  • Adobe Workfront experience preferred.

Education/Experience Requirements: 4-year college degree (BA, BS) and 6 to 8 years of related experience, advertising and video production preferred, Adobe Workfront experience preferred.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)
  • Travel Required: 30%
  • Physical Requirements: For advertising productions in potentially remote locations, ability to work in / walk short distances in outdoor spaces that can be rocky or snowy (i.e. Moab, Colorado, etc.)

Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $81300 - $90000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
