Responsibilities



  • Talent Development: Partner with business and Division HR leadership to identify, assess and develop talent and successors for key roles.  Develop a career exploration and talent mobility framework, programs and tools that drive an exceptional employee experience, including engaging and retaining talent and differentiating Boise Cascade in the industry and market.

  • Learning: Partner with the businesses and talent team to establish framework, standards and resources to deliver high quality training, both through active involvement in the Learning Management System (LMS) tools and capabilities, instructional design and thought leadership to connect content between programs, and through facilitation of organizational programs and coordination with external vendor partners.

  • Process Design: Support business-led transformation initiatives by implementing and leveraging talent practices.  Provide leadership for design and implementation of the talent management processes (e.g., talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, associate engagement, talent and succession planning, leadership development, assessments)

  • Needs Assessment and Solution Design: Work with HR Business Partners and business leaders to define talent related needs (e.g., succession, organizational design, coaching, system and process improvements, etc.) and create tools and solutions that advance business strategy. 

  • Employee Surveys: Support the development of associate level surveys, determine strategy, prioritization, quality survey design, and methods for sharing results and developing actions to address findings with the businesses.

  • Thought Leadership: Share talent management expertise and act as a trusted advisor.

  • Business Acumen:  Utilize strong business acumen and influencing skills to engage leaders and build strong, collaborative working relationships with partners across the organization.

  • People Management:  Lead a team of talent management professionals and provide day-to-day operational and strategic leadership. Grow and develop team members.

  • Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement through the mindset and cultivation of Agile practices and principles.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications  


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or other business-related discipline.

  • Proven track record of success in the design, execution, and management of business programs.

  • Ability to interface with multiple teams and resources to execute project work.

  • Experience working with C-suite executives and board members.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Ability to travel <10%


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master’s degree in business administration, Human Resources or other business-related discipline.

  • Strong change management skills.

  • Strong functional HR process and practical acumen and technical aptitude.

  • Experience in an Organization Development (OD), Organizational Effectiveness (OE), Learning /Development (L&D) leadership role.

  • Experience with UKG and Learning Management Systems
