Job Description: 

In search of a high-performing, resourceful and self-motivated Corporate Social Responsibility Manager with a passion for corporate giving, community impact, and sustainability, and excellent project management and communications skills. This is a high-impact and high-visibility role, offering exceptional access to global leadership and an opportunity to shape nascent community impact and sustainability communications programs. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager will be responsible for spearheading Cooper’s global philanthropic efforts and community impact programs across CooperCompanies, CooperVision and CooperSurgical.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:


  • Responsible for partnering with CooperVision and CooperSurgical leadership to develop our global strategy for corporate giving 

  • Build/maintain programs and activities that will align with key business areas and have a positive impact on communities, people and the planet

  • Manage any CSR employee engagement programs and local non-profit partnerships

  • Oversee execution of programs and efforts globally

  • Develop communications to highlight CSR and sustainability efforts internally with employees and externally via social media, website, recruiting sites etc.

  • Partner closely with Corporate Affairs and IR to support annual ESG reporting

  • Develop policies and guidance documents that define processes for budget approvals, activity tracking and more

  • Manage corporate giving/community impact budget

  • Track all local/regional/division activities 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The ideal candidate for the position will possess a blend of functional and business experience and will have the following qualifications:


  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Comfort and ability to confidently interact and present information to all levels of the organization, including senior leaders

  • Excellent project management skills, and ability to manage many workstreams with different stakeholders

  • Keenly motivated problem-solver and self-starter who exhibits good judgment and who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, global, and collaborative corporate environment

  • Ability to set priorities, organize work and thrive in a high production environment while responding quickly and effectively under pressure, changing priorities and tight timelines/deadlines

  • Advanced presentation development skills, especially PowerPoint

  • Meticulous attention to detail

Work Environment:

Given the close working relationship with senior leadership, this position will be based in the Corporate Headquarters in San Ramon, CA and requires on-site presence Mondays-Thursdays. Travel, including international, will be required, and travel may be significant given the nature of the role.

Experience:


  • 5+ years of direct corporate and/or internal communications experience

  • Experience building community impact/CSR programs, ideally with a global company 

Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $93,835 and $125,113 and may include cost of living adjustments.  The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future.  This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
