What's the role?

As a Specialist, Remakes and Credits, you get to work with an astonishing team that plays a vital role in Carl Zeiss Vision, Inc. Show case your skills and experience with process enhancements by handling all electronic remakes, and credit requests. Has a high degree of optical knowledge as well as a working knowledge of the lab process itself. Ability to trouble shoot returned product/s and evaluate corrective action required. Expert in ensuring compliance within company credit, and return policy is being met. Assuring that all discounts being provided are accurate and up to date. Alerting management if you see abuse of stated policies. Applies the discount and returned reason codes based on quality process. Work with the Customer Service and lab team to assure customers' needs are being handled.

Here's what you'll do:


  • Handles all electronic remakes through Rx Portal.

  • Handles all credit requests from the Customer Service team.

  • Assures remakes and credits are coded correctly.

  • Completes all electronic remakes within 24 hours.

  • Applies approved credits within 20 days and applies notes as to why a credit is being denied.

  • If credit is denied, will note reason for denial.

  • Respond to customer service credit inquires.

  • Enter relevant information into Quality Case Management system.

  • Alert Management team of potential abuse.

  • Assist in other areas when needed.

  • Honest, dependable and be able to follow directions either written or verbal.

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast past-paced environment.

Do you qualify?


  • 2-year call center experience.

  • 1-2 years of ZEISS customer service call center experience or ABO certified optician or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with ZEISS management systems (i.e. DVI, SAP, Eyefinity, SAP, Portal or equivalent).

  • Data entry experience.

  • Keyboarding experience including 10-key.

  • Experience using computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, etc. or equivalent).

  • Knowledge of coding remake orders and / or credits.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and use time effectively.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to navigate multiple systems effectively.

  • Data entry skills including keyboarding and 10-key.

  • Eye for attention to detail and symmetry.

  • Possess a high degree of listening and comprehension skills.
