Job Description:

Primary functions are to photograph plants, upload accurate photos of our salable inventory, update plants’ growing status, and place identification stakes in the field.  The secondary function is to keep an accurate inventory count, document discrepancies, ensure plants are growing according to schedule, and assist the inventory coach. This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions.  This is a seasonal position. Typical hours are Mon - Fri 7 am to 3:30 pm; Additional hours may include Mon – Fri 3:30 – 5:30 PM and Sat 7-12.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

Digital photography of salable plants. 

Updates plant status comments. 

Measures and maintains plant specifications. 

Prepares stakes and identification labels, and places in the field using a hammer. 

Physically counts plants in the area.  

Documents discrepancies in the field. 

Verifies availability list of plants in the field. 

Assists in grading plants in the field and quality control. 

Communicate with other team coaches within the area.  

Walking, lifting to 40 lbs., squatting, bending, and reaching. 

Adheres to safety policies and procedures. 

Other duties as assigned to meet departmental requirements. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

A minimum of 2 years experience with photography, inventory, and/or nursery work 

Must be able to accurately count large quantities of plants for most of the day. 

Must be able to take photos of plants lined up with a vertical ruler and symmetrical. 

Plant knowledge is preferred.  If not, you must have a willingness to learn about plants and plant quality. 

Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment. 

A high level of sustained focus is required. 

Ability to take initiative with minimal direction. 

Must be able to interact with people of varied backgrounds efficiently and professionally. 

Must be able to drive a pick-up truck or rugged terrain vehicle (RTV). 

Strong communication and listening skills.
