We are seeking an enthusiastic Buyer (Supply Chain & Logistics) who will be trained in assisting purchasing teams in the management of assigned suppliers. You will be provided with training to support analysis and run reports. Other training includes order placement, research park invoices and Return to Vendor processing.

Navy: LS (Logistics Specialist)

Army: 76V Army Storage Supply man

Airforce: 21L2 Logistician, 21R2 Logistic Readiness Officer

Marines: Logistics/Embarkation Specialist

Coast Guard: Logistics Specialist

Primary Duties:

• Supports the purchase order process from the initial demand signal to stock.

Supports daily standard work, running reports and pulling drawings for quoting.

• Assists with purchasing equipment and supplies.
• May assist with bids, analyzes quotes, and conducts cost/price analyses.
• Conducts transactions in Oracle related to day to day support.
• Supports Communications to suppliers and internal customers.
• Works with all parties on payment issues (parked invoices).

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• 2-5 years of business experience in an office environment.
• Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
• Basic technical knowledge of equipment and familiarity with ERP/MRPII or an automated purchasing system.
• Requires strong verbal and written communication skills

This is an unpaid internship in accordance with DOD Skillbridge regulations. This opportunity is exclusive to Transitioning Military Service members within the last 180 days of Military Service.
