Lead Data Engineer

Job Title: Lead Data Engineer

Design and build data-driven solutions and guide team of engineers to ensure consistent, reliable, and sustainable solutions are delivered. Use and manipulate ETL tools (including Informatica) for data reporting. Manage development and engineering resources. Coordinate full lifecycle, large complex reporting or data engineering projects. Collaborate with team of architects to influence data management processes that result in highly accurate and trusted data assets for use in Animal Nutrition and across organization. Work with and communicate with stakeholders to ensure data engineering solutions meet business requirements. Influence stakeholders to ensure investments in data driven solutions are centered on optimizing clearly defined and quantified business outcomes. Work on cloud-native data solutions on Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud platform. Architect solutions by obtaining a clear understanding of business needs and value, developing a detailed vision for the initiative, mapping out the solution, and guiding its implementation. Use advanced SQL, data engineering, and data modeling techniques. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA and design solutions to drive compliance.

Position allows for telecommuting from anywhere in the US.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field plus 7years of post-bachelor's experience as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Warehousing Consultant, or related occupation in data engineering.

Must have 7 years of experience in each of the following:

• Advanced SQL, data engineering and data modeling techniques;


• Designing and building data-driven solutions;


• Using and manipulating ETL tools (such as Informatica) for data reporting;

Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

• Managing development and engineering resources;


• Leading a team through full lifecycle, large, complex reporting or data engineering efforts;


• Working and communicating with stakeholders to ensure data engineering solutions meet business outcomes;

Must have 1 year of experience working on cloud-native data solutions on Microsoft Azure or AWS.

Salary: $126,360.00 to $149,625.00 per year
