GPI is seeking a motivated individual to join our New England accounting team in one of our local offices. As a Billing Specialist, you will be working with our accounting team to process complex and detailed contracts and invoices. In this role, youll balance multiple projects that could include any of GPIs wide variety of clients, including state agencies, municipalities, and private entities.
The team collaborates, ensuring everyone is challenged but has the support needed. This position will provide a wide array of tasks, depending on the needs of the team. The ideal candidate will be looking to develop with our team, aligning with our corporate culture of organic growth. This position offers a great potential for future growth and longevity.
Responsibilities:
Set up projects based on client contractsUnderstand project conceptual scopesPrepare monthly invoicing for Cost Plus, Lump Sum, and Time & Materials contractsWork closely with Project Managers on billing, project budgets, project progress, and compile associated reports from Deltek VantagePointPrepare month end billing reportsCreate, update, and edit advanced Excel spreadsheets as neededUse organization and time management to address pressing project matters when time is limited, and to manage multiple tasks, sometimes for multiple projects or project managers at onceProblem solving/analysis; ability to research and analyze various types of informationAssist with other accounting duties as neededWork independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
Qualifications:
Associate degree in accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience2-5 years of invoicing experienceExperience in the AEC industryIntermediate to advanced knowledge of ExcelWorking knowledge of Deltek Vision or VantagePoint is a plusStrong time management skills and attention to details
