ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

As Revenue Operations Senior Analyst, you will be crucial to yield & inventory management to drive revenue growth across the company's portfolio of sites both domestic and international.

You will manage the health of our data platforms, produce regular reporting and insights, and help ensure full delivery on guaranteed campaigns. You have a strong analytical mind-set and you'll bring a proactive, problem-solving approach. You are well-versed in digital media planning and buying practices, knowledgeable about media metrics, and experienced in calculating media math. You will work closely with teams across the organization, as well as external vendors, to drive revenue and inventory management goals. You will report to the Associate Director of Revenue Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Analyze digital ad inventory to identify trends, assess inventory risk, and brainstorm solutions. This includes but is not limited to generating capacity reports for display and video products from Yieldex and analyzing email capacities.
  • Lead the weekly revenue risk meetings with the Account Management team, and ensure revenue risk reporting is accurate. Proactively alert the team of potential delivery issues and causes and provide a recommendation to reduce revenue risk.
  • Provide strategic support to the Sales Organization regarding ad hoc inquiries, including but not limited to inventory, scheduling, pricing, booking, and targeting.
  • You will own weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual programmatic reporting and forecast and help ensure accuracy. You will produce highlights and call out trends, including data-driven insights and recommendations to the programmatic team to increase revenue.
  • Analyze programmatic reporting within STAQ to ensure all partners are represented, and data is reported and classified as expected. Partner with Ad Operations to manage the relationship of each programmatic demand vendor, troubleshoot issues, and act as the lead to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure that our inventory and order management systems are accurate and up to date through regular audits. Partner with vendors and team members to ensure inventory, schedules, and reporting systems are accurate across various systems including Yieldex, OperativeOne, STAQ, Oracle Moat.
  • Ensure monthly and weekly eCPM reporting are accurate and insights reflect business needs. Advise on updates and improvements as needed.
  • Be proactive and identify opportunities for revenue growth across product lines including display, video, email, lead generation, social media, content sponsorships, galleries and print. Collaborate with cross-functional groups including Sales, Account Management, Product Management, Ad Operations and Marketing as needed.
  • Monitor the monthly paid social forecast and communicate changes or budget concerns.
  • Strategize with team members to develop ways to improve order & inventory management processes.
  • Be ready to iterate and provide solutions to improve reporting, with the goal of leveling up accuracy and efficiency, including producing dashboards where relevant.
  • Be an active participant in supporting future data platforms to help improve yield.


SUCCESSFUL SENIOR ANALYSTS CANDIDATES HAVE:


  • BA/BS Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory / yield management. Ad operations experience a plus
  • Advanced Excel proficiency required
  • Experience with Yieldex, Google Ad Manager & Operative.One or other order management tools strongly preferred
  • Experience with Programmatic, DSPs, DMPs, audience extension, ad tech vendors preferred
  • Knowledge of media and the technologies used to support online and/or mobile advertising operations: ad serving, audience management tools, inventory applications.
  • Clear understanding of business needs and impact, and the ability to communicate the importance of an issue or a feature that needs to be implemented to internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Big-picture thinker who can view business holistically.
  • Willingness to learn and be adaptable with new information, as the media landscape is ever-evolving.
  • Keen analytical and problem-solving skills, and troubleshooting abilities
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment, with eagerness to learn quickly and take on projects with a sense of urgency and accountability.
