ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Manufacturing Manager youwill provide leadership and direction for a business unit within the plant and will be responsible for performance with respect to safety, quality, on-time delivery, budget management and productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Ensures efficient operations of the highest quality products produced to meet quality and delivery expectations.

  • Exceptional ability and experience leading and developing a team of people who can drive engagement and build trust throughout the team.

  • Plans, executes, and finalizes projects to minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, materials, and capital according to deadlines and budgets.

  • Monitors and implements systems to effectively manage production schedules.

  • Devises strategic plans to anticipate business opportunities and technological changes.

  • Leads and embeds Lean manufacturing principles, tools, and techniques to drive continuous improvements.

  • Manages profit/loss and drives performance and KPIs for the division.

  • Partners with Planning and Scheduling teams to ensure customer service levels are met.

  • Leads strategic planning including cost reduction initiatives, capital planning, and resource allocation.

  • Manages the overall safety, quality, scheduling, production, maintenance, and other administrative functions.

  • Continually monitors and improves plant safety and ensures safety regulations are adhered to.

  • Provides leadership that promotes teamwork, cooperation, and employee development.

  • Establish and maintain positive partnerships with customers, suppliers and relationships within the community.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING


  • Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience considered in lieu of degree requirement.

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience.

  • 3+ years of work experience and a record of success in a manufacturing environment.

  • 1+ years of experience working in a Lean environment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS:


  • Advanced degree.

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.

  • Demonstrated experience working within a continuous improvement environment.

  • Experience managing to the ISO or equivalent quality standards.

  • Experience ensuring strict PSM compliance.

  • Demonstrated ability to positively influence & manage change.

  • Open, honest communication style with interpersonal and facilitation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver effective coaching and mentoring.

  • Packaging, Process, and Maintenance experience is a plus.

JOB REQUIREMENTS


  • Full-time with ability to work as needed to support the business.

  • Requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toed work boots.

  • Exposure to noise and subject to regular bending, twisting, and reaching.

  • This position is not eligible for remote work.
