Position Description

Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is currently seeking a Production Injection Supervisor for the SACROC Production Field in Snyder, TX. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all aspects of the field with emphasis on the CO2 and water injection system and equipment. The SACROC Production Field employs over 1200 wells used for oil production, CO2 injection and Water Injection. The injection system is comprised of Water collection stations, Water Injection Stations, pipeline headers, and high-pressure CO2 injection lines.

The Production Injection Supervisor will be responsible for general oversight of all CO2 and Water injection systems throughout the SACROC Field. This includes the direct supervision of 18 to 20 water station operators and field operators.

Duties include:


  • Provide supervisory leadership to subordinates and develop employees for advancement.

  • Provide technical and safety leadership to the injection group.

  • Prepares reliability plans for critical equipment systems.

  • Monitor injection rates and recommend adjustments to production engineers.

  • Recognize and promote ideas that provide safer, more efficient, and cost-effective operation, making sure that operating costs are consistent with budgetary constraints.

  • Support and work with outside groups such Well Workover/Completion, Reservoir Surveillance and Construction Groups.

  • Prepare operating budget on an annual basis and monitor budgetary performance throughout the year.


Position Requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS


  • Tasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions in daylight & darkness.

  • May be required to stand, walk, sit, ascend/descend stairs or ladders, use hand tools, reach with hands and arms.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Field vessels and piping systems contain H2S and hydrocarbon gases which are flammable and may be explosive under certain circumstances

  • Requires working on holidays when a holiday falls on a scheduled on-call weekend

  • Must be available 24 hrs a day Mon-Fri and must be available for scheduled on call weekends.

  • Must be able to respond within 30 minutes during on call duties.



5+ yrs Relevant Oil and Gas Field Operations Experience.
Knowledge of high-pressure injection systems.
Knowledge of SCADA systems and IFix
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Good public speaking/presentation skills is a must.
Strong computer skills
Strong analytical skills

Must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to KM's insurer.

Must be able to work with a team, take direction from manager, keep required work schedules, focus on attention to detail, and follow work rules.

Education Required
High School Diploma
Technical or Trade School

Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering Discipline or Similar Technology Degree.
