Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Associate Operations Supervisor located in Buffalo Grove, IL.  

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Associate Operations Supervisor will be responsible for directing the manufacturing operations in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring volume, quality and cost goals are met.

Shift: 6:00am-6:00pm  

( Rotating Shift - Sun, Mon, Thurs, Fri/Tues, Wed, Sat )

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:


  • Leads the production and is responsible for the success of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment

  • Evaluates daily/regular plant operating performance and advises on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality

  • Leads a team of individual professionals (e.g. engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness requirements

  • Engages in training and coaching of junior operators

  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing individuals on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintains compliance with established policies and procedures

  • Troubleshoots and analyzes operational problems and advises on their resolution

  • Guides regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational understanding and capability

  • Solicits and evaluates ideas for plant improvements and collaborates with qualified engineers to develop project proposals

  • Provides technical and operational advice to project teams

  • May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function

  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and material supply to meet customer requirements

  • Initiates and participates in process development and cost improvement projects

  • Assists in departmental key performance and cost savings and management of department expenses.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):


  • 1+ year experience managing individual contributors/small teams.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Excel experience.

  • Manufacturing experience required (fast-paced Assembly Line and Medical Device background preferred)

  • Ensures compliance of standards (ISO:9000 and SQF standards)
