The Dispatcher and Carrier Relations Kim-Tam Logistics USA Southwest/Mexico is responsible for managing the movement of freight across various states and Mexico. The individual will be directly involved in the sourcing, negotiations, and onboarding of partner carriers. They will maintain all third-party relationships with carriers as well as customer and internal relationships related to our business. The overarching responsibility is to optimize the regional network and collaborate with all stakeholders to streamline material flow, making use of the appropriate asset or non-asset based conveyance. There is currently a focus on flatbed/Conestoga freight movement of metals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish contractual agreements with 3rd party service providers & carriers, ensuring their compliance and adherence to regulatory framework, internal governance, policies and procedures.
Establish the framework and overall structure of the Service Provider Sourcing requirements, processes and procedures for Kim- Tam Logistics and Samuel Corporate Management, including rate negotiations, service level agreements, performance management and capacity commitments.
Perform daily dispatching to 3rd party carriers. Oversee SouthWest/Mexico dealing with carriers for inbound and outbound materials management.
Use of 3rd Party Dedicated Service providers (3rd party assets) and external common carriers to perform inbound and outbound material management, scheduling and coordination as well as customer and 3rd party processing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual English-Spanish (written & verbal) a requirement
Dispatch Experience is an asset (J.I.T experience is an asset)
Rail knowledge is an asset.
Good understanding of vendor performance and metrics management
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines - Work effectively both independently and as a member of the team.
Assist in Sourcing/Negotiating Infrastructure related Logistics programs e.g. Fuel programs Proven work experience in cross-functional and 3PL organization is an asset
Proficient in logistics, transportation, and ERP software.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication both verbal and written and organizational skills.
Good commercial understanding, able to read and understand contract language; knowledgeable in Transportation & and Logistics Management and various manufacturing processes.
Must think logically, with sound problem-solving abilities, and capable of handling multiple tasks; capable of planning, organizing, directing, and prioritizing of tasks and projects.
Strong negotiation skills
The base pay range for this position is $59,570 - $93,610. If you are hired, your base pay rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued wage growth.
