Supplier Quality Engineer at Schneider Electric USA, Inc

Job Description:

Schneider Electric is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support our West Chester, OH facility. This will be a hybrid schedule: 3 days/week onsite and 2 days/week remote.

Main Function: Coordinating and managing supplier quality standards and policies

  • Supplier Quality Management work includes:

    • Identifying, coaching, and managing suppliers according to organization quality standards and policies

    • Providing advice and training on quality protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and applicable government standards

    • Negotiating service level agreements, performance/quality metrics and ensuring contractual obligations are met

    • Resolving supplier problems related to quality, performance, and service level

    • Identifying and certifying alternative suppliers to mitigate supply disruption risks with the support of the US Services Sourcing

    • Deploy / set-up at Supplier the Quality referential as per SSQM process (performance measurement referential, PPEP, 8D, etc.).

    • Directly manage most complex/critical Supply/Supplier issues escalated.

    • Check with plant Quality G8D tracking on curative and preventive mode

    • PPEP tracking with plant and Purchasing on Change of Supplier

    • tracking of supply chain upstream parameters (Lead Time, Order Quantity, stock, forecast)

    • Schneider Electric specific Upstream tools and data base usage

    • Coordinating and working with suppliers on any applicable plant rejections

    • Coordinating with quality department for appropriate feedback

    • Working with engineering on any PPEP related quality items and services to ensure we follow the supplier quality standards



  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in supplier quality or quality function

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Good level of expertise in using MS office (Particularly excel extract, pivot table etc)

  • Manufacturing process knowledge, mainly for mechanical components

  • Good knowledge of QMS, PPAP, Problem solving tools, Auditing

  • Communication, able to influence are the key soft skills

  • Able to work in matrix organization

  • Ready to learn & adapt fast
