Responsibilities:

This role supports the needs of the Elanco US Customer Service for the Retail business with a focus of being a key contact for Elanco Retail customers.  The role also supports internal and external customers regarding finished product order management/fulfillment for commercial, free goods and sample product.  Customers include Retail customers, Elanco Retail team sales representatives, internal or external personnel that interact with the Retail team needs.

This position is responsible for the timely, accurate and professional processing of customer orders, related inquiries received via phone, email, etc., disputes and general finished good order management and subsequent invoicing.  To meet these customer requirements, this position needs an understanding of the animal health industry, Elanco Retail  customers and sales practices as well as logistics/traffic, warehousing, regulatory compliance (cGMP, Sarbanes-Oxley) finance, manufacturing, quality assurance and all associated systems.

This position will interact with distribution centers, and customers on a regular basis requiring a positive, customer centric, service mindset.

   

Key Objectives/Deliverables:


  • Order processing and all task needed to support getting product deliveries scheduled for on time delivery to customers

  • Monitors orders, inventories, and production schedules/production requirements to ensure adequate supply.

  • Networks with the appropriate areas (Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing, QA) to resolve product issues

  • Manage POs, maintain delivery dates/quantities, and perform goods receipt

  • Manage customer inquiries and orders in a pleasant, professional, accurate, and timely manner.

  • Perform tasks in SAP such as credits and debits related to discrepancies accurately and timely

  • Timely escalation of customer concerns when needed

  • Maintain documentation and computer files in an organized and compliant manner.

  • Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley, cGMP regulations, and other regulatory requirements. This includes Elanco code of conduct and clean desk policies

  • Work as a team to ensure all area goals and customer needs are met – be flexible and have a positive attitude

  • Deliver the task assigned and serve as a backup as defined

  • Deliver excellent phone and written communication utilizing proper grammar

  • Ability to deal with difficult customers and situations in a professional manner

  • Suggest and implement process changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the area

Basic Qualifications:


  • BA or BS in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field

  • Completion of Post Offer Exam, Completion of Work Simulation or Completion of Administrative Skills Testing if applicable

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Elanco does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

  • Experience working in an environment governed by GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other regulations such as Sarbanes Oxley

  • 3-5 Years of related experience preferred

  • Occasional travel to customer quarterly business review meetings
