Role Summary  

As a Product Owner on the Self-Service Team within the Individual Investors Client Experience (IICX) organization, this role will own continuous improvement and enhancements of experiences and applications around mutual fund transactions and money movement activities such as bank-linking, asset transfers and required minimum distributions. The Product Owner will help define the product roadmap and support the funding transformation agenda.

Reporting to the Senior Product Owner, this role will be accountable for leading a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and analysts utilizing agile methodology to launch omni-channel, client-centric solutions from research and discovery to development and delivery. The Product Owner will be accountable for competitive intelligence and maintaining and executing against a learning agenda to drive continuous improvement of their product. This role will be accountable for business requirements gathering, user stories, user acceptance criteria and other traditional agile PO responsibilities.  The Product Owner should command their product and influence stakeholders across the organization to maximize the impact of their product in achieving business objectives.

  

Responsibilities: 


  • Product Ownership — Partners with various teams such as business teams, legal, compliance, finance, and design to ensure that solutions are compliant, client-centric, in line with brand standards, and contribute to a holistic end to end experience. Establishes or heavily contributes to road map for assigned product(s). Removes impediments and facilitates decisions both inside and outside the core team to ensure a successful product delivery. Elevates product-related issues that cannot be resolved to senior product owner or management for resolution assistance; elevates key product decisions to senior management. The product owner sets the direction for the product and prioritizes what will be included in the business case and each release. Gathers requirements, writes user stories, prioritizes and manages backlog work to inform approach for delivery. 

  • Achieves Business Results —Oversees a cross-functional team, which could include marketing, technology, and design associates. Ensures products meet and/or exceed standards for business performance, client satisfaction, compliance, and operational efficiency by closely monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting the metrics to assess the performance of products against key performance indicators (such as sales, new accounts, lead and referral generation, etc.). Develops and implements strategies and tactics to meet the desired business objectives for assigned product. 

  • Coaching and Mentoring —Supports leadership team in the onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching of product analysts. Recognizes associates as appropriate and, at times, may provide constructive feedback in support of individual development goals. May also coach a cross-functional Agile team if serving in a product owner capacity. 

  • Product Release Coordination —Plans with other key team roles as well as product owners who are part of other teams, if necessary, to ensure a strategic, complementary release schedule. The product owner also helps to identify necessary operational changes stemming from a release and is co-responsible for defining reusable solutions/shared components. 

  

Qualifications: 

Required: 


  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 

  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience

  • Experience in Agile methodologies

Preferred


  • Experience working in a highly regulated investment/financial industry

  • Experience with the Adobe Experience Platform

  • Demonstrated success leading and working with large cross functional teams

  • Demonstrated success, and hands on experience leading and working with agile teams

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)

  • Ability to translate and simplify complex business and technical requirements

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence decisions

  • Strategic mindset and high accountability for objectives and key results

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.

Regional Requirements:

Base salary range:

$91,500 - $156,500 USD

For the location of:

Colorado

This job posting is expected to be available until 5/15/2024.

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
