What you will be doing:  



  • Event Planning and Coordination: Assist with managing online Event/RSVP portal to effectively maintain current events. Draft communications and email/call follow-up for event RSVPs to outside organizations and our internal team members. This includes promoting event participation internally to ensure representation at events. 

  • Community Engagement & Out-of-the-Box Thinking: Infuse your bright imagination and creative thinking into our storytelling approach. Participate in and help plan some of our community engagement processes and give input on potential improvements. Must be willing to attend various events in person. 

  • Project Management: Help take ideas from creation to execution while working alongside our Community Relations Officer and our marketing team. 

  • Community Website/Social Post Copy: Assist in crafting persuasive website copy that resonates with our community and reflects our mission. 

  • Post-Event Recaps: Create captivating event recaps via video storytelling to showcase our involvement in the community. 

  • Relationship building: Cultivate genuine relationships alongside our Community Relations Officer and help us build a more robust, more connected network. 

  • Public Speaking: Develop your public speaking skills and become more comfortable representing Jovia alongside our CRO at community events. 

  • Social Media Savvy: Leverage your knowledge of platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn to amplify our message and STAND out from the crowd. Work in conjunction with our internal social media team. 

  • Video Production: Collaborate on video shoots, pre-photo shoot planning, and post-production editing to create compelling visual content. 


What we need from you:



  • Growth mindset- every day in an adventure, and parts of the day may be unpredictable. 

  • Should be in pursuit of a B.A. or B.S. degree with an emphasis in marketing or communications, photography, or media. Prior financial institution or communication/marketing experience is a plus. 

  • Spanish Language skills area significant asset for this position. 

  • Strong writing skills for crafting website copy and event recaps. 

  • A genuine interest in public speaking and community engagement. 

  • Self-motivation with good organizational skills and exacting attention to detail. 

  • Professional appearance and demeanor. 

  • Individuals must possess some project management skills and feel comfortable coordinating event RSVPs via phone or email. 

  • Bright imagination and a knack for creative thinking. 

  • Video editing and production skills. 

  • Interest in photography, both pre and post-photo shoot. 

  • Familiarity with and strong interest in social media platforms, particularly TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn. 

  • Willingness to attend and actively participate in “in person” community events, including some weekend/and or evening events. 

  • Must reflect our organization’s highest quality service standards in dealing with fellow co-workers and members, always upholding the Jovia philosophy. 


Work From Home and Hybrid Requirements:  This particular position is Hybrid and requires in-office / plus work from home days to our offices in Westbury, New York:



  • Internet speed of 100 mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to www.speedtest.net)

  • Able to dedicate a quiet space for daily work that is free of sound interruptions.

  • All equipment will be provided by Jovia (Computer, Monitor, Headset)

  • Estimated Salary Range for this Position: $17 per hour
