The Sr Maintenance Specialist is responsible for inspecting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems, machinery, and equipment and has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected. Uses a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. The Sr Maintenance Specialist is capable of performing all duties of the Maintenance Specialist role.
What You'll Be Doing
Performs maintenance and repairs of equipment and facilities
Perform scheduled planned preventive maintenance in accordance to minimize unplanned downtime and insure safe operation.
Perform effective diagnosis of breakdown and timely repair of equipment to maximize availability
Requisition materials and supplies such as tools, equipment, and replacements parts
Perform welding and fabrication
Identify and deploy the technical skillsets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects including the engagement of external resources as required
Document breakdowns, identify root cause and remedial action to help identify and resolve recurring issues
Develops and works from blueprints, drawings, sketches, or layouts
Use of tools and instruments to perform highly skilled electrical work (e.g., pipe benders, wire pullers, meters, etc.)
Excellent electrical trouble shooting skills
Proficient in design, layout, installation, and repair, of electrical systems (e.g., switch gear, transformers, panels, lighting, motors, controls, etc.)
Work with single and 3 phase circuits up to 480 volts
Operate forklift and high-lift
Perform basic HVAC skills such as electrical troubleshooting, installing motors and changing filters
Work with or oversee contractors
Maintain accurate records of electrical work
Strict adherence to all safety procedures

What You Need for This Position
High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience
Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years maintenance experience including 3-5 years of electrical experience working with single and 3 phase circuits up to 480 volts
Experience working with, but not limited to electronic controls, PLC's, laser machines, punching equipment and press brakes (i.e., Cincinnati, Amada, Trump, Robotic)
Proficient in reading electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints
Ability to use inspection, measuring and diagnostic equipment to perform maintenance
ARC Flash certification
Lock-out/Tag- out certification
Extensive knowledge of electrical codes
Forklift certification
High lift certification
Boom lift certification
Crane certification
Ladder safety certification
Fall protection certification
Ability to lift/carry up to 60 pounds
