Uses proven methodologies to test DSS’ software applications produced by Research and Development (R&D) for correct execution of all functions
Supports one product line full time and may be assigned to other products as backup
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates basic test scripts/cases to standard
Executes predefined manual tests on assigned products/projects
Reports and defines defects found during testing or reported by clients
Tracks defects utilizing the defect tracking system
Participates in daily stand up meetings for assigned product lines
Presents live software demonstrations to assigned product line team
Possible travel to Client sites to test software in the client’s environment
SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

SKILLS
Required:
Has knowledge of SDLC
Able to understand the difference between Unit, Functional, Integration, Regression and Acceptance Testing
Demonstrated ability to identify software defects
Prioritizes, manages time well, and is detail oriented
Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills
Works independently and as a contributing team member
Possesses proven aptitude for understanding technical process
Works with other departments and managers within the workplace
Preferred:
Experience with any Quality Assurance software testing tools
Experience with qTest, Jira and Confluence
Experience with Agile Development
Experience with GUI applications including clinical software applications
Knowledge of CPRS (Computerized Patient Record System)
Education: Required:
High School or equivalent, AS, AA degree or must have an equivalent combination of work experience and\or education
Desired:
Bachelor ‘s degree Computer Science, Computer Information, Health Information, or other related degree
Military experience
Certification(s), Licenses: Optional:
CSQA, CSTE, or ISTQB certification, Clinical/Medical/Pharmacy License, Clinical Informatics
