Summary:

Assists the Director - National Parts Distribution with statistical reporting and analysis of Regional Distribution Center (RDC) operations to track trends regarding operations, expenses, and volume. Identifies facility requirements, labor requirements, and capital utilization trends that impact RDC operational efficiency by reviewing key data parameters. Assists the Director - National Parts Distribution in analysis of budgets and financial performance of RDC operations. Maintains confidentiality of financial, personnel, and strategic operations policies and business plans. Analyzes and understands the RDC operations at a functional and technical level.

Primary Responsibilities:

Reporting and Data Analytics (40% of time)


  • Recommends and provides the Director - National Parts Distribution and Regional Distribution Center (RDC) operations leadership team with custom reports and statistical analysis of financial performance, efficiency, labor performance, and asset utilization. Identifies opportunities to analyze process issues and bottlenecks, minimize redundancy, and make improvements that will impact the productivity of RDC operations.
  • Coordinates with multiple department heads and systems to generate reports in collection of data on a monthly and yearly basis for supply chain operations benchmarking.
  • Assists in the development of reporting and analysis to support strategic planning. Provides regular and reliable analytics as needed.

Systems Functionality (20% of time)

  • Executes and implement special projects related to systems utilized by the RDC operations team, as needed, to support the department's evolving business needs.
  • Acts as a Test Agent alongside WMS Administration Manager and Analyst regarding various warehouse management system (WMS) and labor management system (LMS) configurations, changes, and settings. Contributes to WMS and LMS testing, analysis, reporting, and defining quality assurance metrics.
  • Supports RDCs' daily operations by assisting in troubleshooting systems' issues and identifying ways to prevent future issues by working with WMS Manager and Information Technology resources.

Operational Support to Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) (40% of time)

  • Coordinates RDC facility projects with the Director - National Parts Distribution, Corporate Facilities, vendors, and consultants in ensuring goals and milestones are met.
  • Updates and maintains the electronic Parts Operations' Policies and Procedures Manual, the Material Safety Data Sheets website, and RDCs' National Uniform program.
  • Administers and communicates policy changes related to RDC and Parts operations.
  • Works with the Sr. RDC Operations Coordinator overseeing the RDC's Parts Claim processing, system training, and administering policies and procedures. Analyzes the monthly audit and coordination of miscellaneous debits/credits received from all RDCs, prior to submission to Subaru of America (SOA) Accounting for uploading to the Monthly Retailer Statements. Reviews for trends, discrepancies, and errors.
  • Communicates all system and procedure changes, weather closures, holiday schedules, policy updates, etc. regarding Parts Distribution/RDCs to retailers and Field personnel. Posts announcements to Subarunet.com and emails all affected Field personnel to communicate issues that affect daily Parts Distribution business.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provides backup on daily duties and activities for the WMS Administrative Analyst in their absence.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in Oracle 11i, BI Discoverer EUL, Red Prairie WMS, REBUS LMS, Manhattan Associates WMS & LMS, Agile, and Adobe® RoboHelp® Authoring Software. Proficiency with similar systems and ability to learn new systems will be considered, as well.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex ideas to others.
  • Troubleshooting, data gathering, and data mining abilities.
  • Knowledge of SQL or ability to learn basic query structure.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conversant in RDC operations, such as shipping, receiving, inventory control, etc.
  • Continuously driven to learning new technologies or expanding current skillset.
  • Understanding of accounting cycle count principles.

Education/Experience Requirements: BA/BS with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)
  • Required Travel: 25%
  • Prolonged sitting at desk and working on computer. Exposure to different temperatures at RDCs

Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $67900 to $96900. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. (P2)
