Job Description:

SOLV Energy is an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and solar services provider for utility solar, high voltage substation and energy storage markets across North America.

Job Description Summary:
The Accounts Payable Lead will be responsible for managing accounts payable on two accounting platforms. The position interacts with vendors to resolve issues and questions and interfaces with employees across the company. The position also provides other support to the accounting team as needed.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Reviewing, tracking and reporting the performance of Accounts Payable team with external benchmarking, simplify the processes and improve team's performance.

  • Collaborate with other team members on resolving PO and Contract Change Order issues in order to post invoices.

  • Support new business partner onboardings and vendor maintenance including collecting W9s. Assist Accounts Payable Manager with 1099 issuances.

  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, as assigned.


  • Keep accurate records and participate in financial audits and provide necessary information and documents related to AP.

  • Assist with reviewing and managing expense reports, and corporate credit cards. Support users and troubleshoot issues with IT as needed. Assist with employee expense reimbursements.

  • Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices. Ensure Sale and Use Tax compliance


  • Monitor and manage major vendors accounts.

  • Communicate internally and externally by responding to AP related questions and payment inquiries.

  • Calculate and prepare monthly accruals, journal entries, account reconciliations and metrics.

  • Manage the payment process, including setting up payment runs, generating in-house checks and uploading payment runs

  • Maintain a clear schedule of payment obligations and ensure timely payments to vendors.

  • AP Department works in multiple accounting programs and process invoices and payments for multiple entities. Attention to detail is a must.


Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and two years of business school (accounting or bookkeeping) or equivalent combinations of experience and training

  • Strong understanding of AP processes including invoice processing, reconciliations, and AP accruals

  • 5+ years experience in accounting and bookkeeping and at least three years in AP, is a must.

  • Experience with 3-way/2-way match

  • Experience with 1099 processing and vendor record setup.

  • Competent in MS office products, especially Excel

  • Experience with CMIC, RAMCO, Certify or other construction management & service software is a plus.

  • Being familiar with construction business and project accounting is a plus.

  • Must be well organized, with the ability to meet timely deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.

  • Executes all duties with follow-through and professionalism, with high level of business ethics.

  • Demonstrates high sense of urgency and personal initiative related to customer service and problem resolution.

$60,328.00 - $79,180.00
