Job Summary
***Pay Grade and Salary will depend on applicable skills and experience This position is responsible for performing operations functions and preventive and corrective maintenance as applicable to ensure the proper functioning of plant equipment.
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Combustion Turbine equipment. This includes turbine systems, generator systems, control systems, electrical systems, water treatment systems, and various other plant systems.
I&C/Electrical background a plus.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
Maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Proficient skills for maintaining equipment at the plant.
Performs troubleshooting and documentation and assists in resolving problems discovered on shift.
Performs daily maintenance, overhauls, calibration, troubleshooting, repair/replacement, and removal/installation of plant equipment and systems.
Makes decisions and recommends appropriate repair techniques for plant equipment to peers, supervisors, and plant management.
Proficient in operating material handling equipment.
Develops and implements plant operating procedures.
Understands the relationship of equipment to plant systems.
May provide instruction and teaching to lower-level employees.
Ensures strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental procedures related to plant operations and maintenance, including but not limited to Lockout Tagout, Pre-Job Brief, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety, and PPE.
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
Minimum of High School diploma or GED equivalent
4+ years related experience or
Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to the above skills.
Position may be filled at Level 1 - 4 depending on the experience level of the successful candidate
Key Metrics:
Verifies the satisfactory operation of equipment using logs, charts, meters, controls, and visual inspections.
Communicates unit operating status with appropriate in-plant and external groups (PSO, TGM, GAPS, etc.).
Maintains plant operating history through timely completion of plant logs and required documentation.
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on the plant instrumentation and control systems with minimum supervision, including weekends, holidays, and scheduled shift.
Assist in the design and implementation of O&M and Capital Projects.
Demonstrate continual self-improvement in job skills and knowledge.
