This is an exciting opportunity to manage a manufacturing facility in beautiful Ludington, Michigan. Cone Drive has a proudhistory as a leader in the gearing industry, and the Production Supervisorrole is a key leader for the plant operations.This position is responsible for driving continuous improvement for the Ludington facility and for maintaining a central priority for employee safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost containment.

Responsibilities:

• Set work schedules and manage cross training schedules for direct reports.
• Manage production in home area while improving safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
• Allocate manpower to maximize output and productivity while maintaining on-time delivery
• Pro-actively address employee concerns and issues.
• Utilize data to help drive plant metrics
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts through Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Lean initiatives.
• Determine root cause solutions for quality issues, safety issues, and production issues in area of responsibility.
• Creates purchase requisitions for shop supplies.
• Manage employee data collection errors.

Required Experience:

• 3 years' leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with machining
• Understanding of OSHA & MIOSHA safety standards as they apply in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing production schedules and working successfully through people to accomplish objectives.
• Understanding of Lean concepts as applied in a manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Kanban a plus.
