Who you are: You enjoy working outdoors and have experience interacting with the public in a friendly, courteous manner. You have experience using a lawn mower or other yard maintenance tools like a blower or weed eater. You enjoy a busy day and will seek meaningful work during slower times. You are dependable and ask for help if you need it.

Where you'll work: The Mason Lake Campground opened decades ago as a space for employees of Simpson (now Green Diamond) to relax. The company still runs this private campground and has expanded access to include members of the community. The park is in a serene setting at one end of Mason Lake in Grapeview, WA, offering guests access to tent and RV campsites, a boat launch, several docks, two picnic shelters, a baseball field, playground equipment, basketball and volleyball courts, and horseshoes pits.

What you'll do: Park Aids interact with guests and keep common areas clean to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit. During the quieter days at the park, Park Aids work on clean-up and maintenance projects.

Examples of the daily work during the busy days (Friday - Sunday):

Welcome and answer questions from campers and day-use guests.
Book reservations and accept payment for campsites and day-use rental areas.
Enforce park rules to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time at the park.
Keep all common areas, like bathrooms and kitchens clean.
Pick up trash and empty garbage cans.

Examples of the work done on less busy days (Monday - Thursday):

Mowing grassy areas and the baseball field.
Weed eating and using a blower to keep the roadways clear.
Cleaning out fire rings and picking up any fallen branches.
Helping the Park Ranger with maintenance projects.

Work schedule: We will work with you to set your actual schedule, but an example schedule could look like 10 AM - 7 PM, Thursday - Monday, with days off on Tuesday and Wednesday. This is a seasonal job starting Mid-May, until Mid-September.

Compensation: Hourly Rate: $17.50. Green Diamond seasonal employees earn paid sick leave and are eligible for paid company holidays, 401(k) plan with employer match, and an employee assistance program.
