Lonza Walkersville is hiring a Manufacturing Associate III who will be responsible for participating in upstream and/or downstream aseptic manufacturing of Endotoxin Testing products in a ISO 5 environment according to company and departmental SOPs. Successful candidate will also perform set-up and operate production equipment in the Filling and Finishing areas. Performs product inspections and final kit packaging of finished goods. Train others to perform cross-functional tasks.

The work schedule for this 3rd shift position is Sunday 11:30 PM - Friday 8:00 AM at our Walkersville, MD site. 

Eligible for 15% 3rd shift differential and an additional 10% once gown and APS qualified

Key responsibilities:

• Demonstrate in-depth awareness of the Endotoxin Operations processes and machinery


• Demonstrate an understanding of the execution of priorities on the production floor 


• Understanding of production timelines, constraints, and workload management 


• Provide manufacturing support to MSAT, QA, and QC  


• Participate in Trackwise to complete CAPAs, Deviations and EENs  


• Train others on the majority of  Filling and Finishing processes 


• Train others the basic use of Trackwise (CAPA, Deviations and EEN)


• Able to be Subject matter Expert (SME) on 3-4 Department Specific Tasks


• Perform other duties as assigned

Key requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in Science or similar, preferred


• Must have at least 5 years of experience working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment


• Solid Communication skills


• Effective problem solving skills


• Functional/Technical Learning of GMP Fill-Finish Operations


• Results driven


• Self-motivated, requiring minimal Supervision


• Working knowledge of Lean Concepts and Methodology – Area 5S, Kanban Systems, Kitting/Staging


• General Fill-Finish Production Machine operations and troubleshooting capability


• Knowledge/understanding of Inventory management


• Familiarity with Environmental & Personnel Monitoring


• Prior experience with document editing/review


• Ability to serve as an SME and Trainer on systems/equipment/processes


• Knowledgeable of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)


• Ability to influence and lead others during unit operations
